Prayer

We live in a world of uncertainties. Each and every day we are faced with opportunities and challenges that are way beyond our human abilities or understanding.

We all need God’s guidance and help to live our lives effectively. Without Prayer we would be as a rudderless ship, with Prayer we can be strengthened and live our lives according to God's plans and purposes.

The Bible reminds us that Prayer is declared to be of overwhelming importance and that we should

 'Pray continually'.

How do we do it? Here again the Bible comes to our help.

Praying Hands'But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.'
                                    Matthew 6:6

What a great God that He has shown us that we can come to him at any time with anything.

Throughout the centuries many people have been helped by praying the prayer that Jesus taught his followers. Here is a modern version of that prayer. You may like to read in.

THE LORD'S PRAYER

Our Father in heaven,

Holy is your name,

Your kingdom come,

Your will be done,

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our sins

As we forgive those who sin against us.

Lead us not into temptation

But deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power,

And the glory are yours

Now and for ever. Amen.
